A new report from IDC is out detailing the worldwide tablet shipments for the third quarter of this year (that's July to September), and the market overall grew by 20.4% reaching 39.6 million units. As you'd probably expect, Apple still dominates, with 12.6 million units shipped and a 31.7% market share. This was a week of Mac releases, kicking off with a new iMac on Monday. It has a 24” display and is powered by the M4 chip. According to the International Data Corporation (IDC), Q3 2024 saw a total of 39.6 million tablets shipped worldwide, which represents a YoY growth of 20.4%.
