TikTok wasn’t the only high-profile app banned in the US recently, as fellow ByteDance video editing app CapCut also went dark. Meta wasted no time capitalizing on the situation and announced its own free video editor for creators called Edits. The app is currently on pre-order in the US App Store and is expected to go live next month. Instagram head Adam Mosseri also confirmed that an Android version is “coming soon”.
