Today OpenAI is launching Instant Checkout in ChatGPT, powered by a new Agentic Commerce Protocol (ACP) it's built in collaboration with Stripe. What this means in practice is that if you are in the US, regardless of which ChatGPT tier you're using (including the free one), you can buy directly from US sellers on Etsy right in your chat. Only single item purchases are supported at the moment. That said, multi-item carts will be supported in the future, which is when "over a million Shopify merchants" will be added to the mix as well.
